Opening a T-shirt shipment is the last chance to find errors before distribution or retail launch. A receiving checklist should cover quantities, garment identity and the approved design. Keep the process proportionate to the order and based on agreed acceptance conditions.
Reconcile the packing list
Count by model, color, size and design where several graphics are included. Check carton references against the order. Separate missing units from quality observations. Photograph damaged packaging before unpacking it, and record which cartons were checked. A total count can hide a wrong size mix even when the overall number is correct.

Measure against the approved chart
Use the documented garment position and measurement points. Review body length, chest and any fit-critical points specified in the order. Compare findings with agreed tolerances. Do not claim formal statistical acceptance unless the relevant sampling plan was established and followed. Record actual observations so the supplier can review them.

Inspect the finished graphic
Check artwork version, dimensions, alignment and obvious surface defects against the retained sample. Review more than one size where placement rules differ. If there is a problem, identify affected quantities and attach clear photographs. Agree a resolution before moving the garments into a launch or staff allocation where traceability becomes harder.
